Overhead shutters can operate manually or automatically by a range of motors and control systems. The shutters can incorporate vision panels for added light and pass for personnel access. Sectional shutters can be insulated and can have vision panels. They make your building look smarter. Overhead shutters can mean a saving of hundreds of pounds they can provide superior resistance to all weather conditions, a high level of security and excellent insulation, combine to provide unparalleled versatility with our sectional range. Made from either galvanised steel or aluminium panels, they are able to withstand all the elements and take into account the increasing importance of insulation in building regulations. When creating an insulated envelope in a new building, Sectional shutters can satisfy a number of requirements including those for high insulation, maximum vision and ventilation. The door is perfectly balanced by means of helical springs at high level, mounted on galvanised steel plates and quality bearings to give smooth and quiet operation. Rubber seals are fitted to the top, bottom and both sides of the shutter for good protection against weather. The internal face of the shutter is bright white and the external face is available in a wide range of finishes and colours. The ‘Thermalex’ is available in 40mm, 50mm and 80mm thick panels dependant on the degree of insulation required. Manual operation is by means of a continuous galvanised haul chain,
through single or double reduction gearing or by means of push up / pull
down. All manually operated are fitted with a recessed lifting
handle and an internal shoot bolt lock. Doors are assembled from 610mm x 40mm thick panels, horizontally ribbed, with a foamed core of rigid polyurethane giving a U value of 0.47 W/m²/ºC. Each panel has rebated meeting edges with built in seals. The door is fully sealed at top, bottom and sides by neoprene seals. |
